Hydrofloat Project - Mosaic

March provided EPCM services to Mosaic Potash Esterhazy K2 (Mosaic) for the installation of a new Hydro Float® Separator processing circuit. The addition of this equipment in the Heavy Media area of the plant aimed to increase the recovery rate of Coarse Product from the Heavy Media Mids Screen Oversize particulate, representing a significant multimillion-dollar investment by Mosaic to enhance mill throughput.
Our involvement began in December 2018, with March conducting feasibility studies and CAPEXs, along with engineering scoping during the initial project planning stages. Subsequently, we completed both preliminary and detailed multi-discipline engineering designs, including the 3D modeling and CAD design, civil, structural, pumps and piping, material handling, process, electrical, and instrumentation and controls.
In addition to design work, March was actively involved in procurement support. This included creating bid packages for contractors and key equipment, participating in bid evaluations, assisting with contract negotiations, and managing contractor relationships.
Since September 2023, March had been engaged in Construction Management, overseeing onsite contractors. March also provided commissioning support, final engineering package reviews, system walkdowns, and ensuring contractor safety compliance. The project wrapped up in August 2025 with Hydro Float® coming online and fully operational.
